Position Summary

The Cleaning and Sanitation Associate plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of our production facility. This position helps ensure a safe work environment and supports our food safety and quality standards while assisting other departments as needed.

What You'll Do
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation throughout the facility.
*Clean production and common areas, including floors, walls, windows, restrooms, break areas, and offices.
*Restock soap, paper towels, and other restroom supplies.
*Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
*Operate cardboard and plastic balers safely.
*Use cleaning equipment including mops, brooms, vacuums, and other sanitation tools.
*Safely handle and mix approved cleaning chemicals according to company procedures.
*Complete assigned cleaning schedules and maintain accurate sanitation records.
*Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or sanitation needs to supervisors.
*Support manufacturing operations when additional assistance is needed.
*Follow all food safety, sanitation, GMP, and workplace safety requirements.
*Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
*High school diploma or GED preferred.
*Previous janitorial, custodial, sanitation, or manufacturing cleaning experience preferred.
*Experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.
*Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) is preferred.
*Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
*Reliable, self-motivated, and dependable with a positive attitude.
*Willingness to learn and follow company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements
*Regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
*Frequently use cleaning equipment and sanitation tools.
*Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on occasion.
*Work around cleaning chemicals while following required safety procedures.
*May be exposed to food ingredients and common food allergens.
