Job Description
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation Services or designee, the Senior Occupational Therapist is responsible for assisting in orientation and supervision of staff members and in providing comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served, in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the department. Responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect care delivered.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program required.
Experience
Five years previous experience as a Occupational Therapist strongly preferred.
Demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification
BLS healthcare provider required.
Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Massachusetts required.
Skills
Clinical expertise for the age and type of patients seen.
Problem-solving skills.
Must execute sound judgment all duties.
Courteous and professional manner when dealing with people in person and on the phone.
Ability to prioritize workload and respond to urgent needs.
Committed to Service Excellence and customer satisfaction.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Computer skills required.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Strong leadership, training, and mentorship abilities required.
