This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Manager - NetApp Data Infrastructure Solutions based in United States.
This is a strategic, cross-functional growth role focused on expanding data infrastructure solutions across commercial, enterprise, public sector, and solutions markets. You will identify new opportunities, develop strategic accounts, and build pipeline around storage, hybrid cloud, and data management technologies. The role combines business development, partner management, sales enablement, and go-to-market execution. You will work closely with sales leaders, solution architects, technology partners, and cloud teams to turn market opportunities into measurable revenue. Success will require strong technical understanding, commercial judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority. With significant ownership and approximately 35% travel, this role offers the opportunity to shape a growing data infrastructure business at scale.
- Drive the data infrastructure business plan across commercial, enterprise, public sector, and solutions segments, identifying target accounts, use cases, and growth opportunities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on enterprise data infrastructure solutions, including ONTAP, consumption-based storage, cloud-native storage, hybrid cloud capabilities, and data management platforms.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new data infrastructure opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships and revenue.
- Collaborate with sales leaders, solution architects, and technology partner teams to develop account strategies, solution architectures, and qualified opportunities.
- Design and execute demand-generation activities such as infrastructure workshops, proof-of-concepts, customer briefings, webinars, partner events, and industry conferences.
- Build strategic relationships with technology partner product managers, solution architects, channel development teams, cloud partnership teams, and field leadership.
- Develop and deliver quarterly enablement sessions covering solutions, use cases, product capabilities, and certification guidance for sales teams across business segments.
- Coordinate joint planning sessions and quarterly business reviews with internal and external leadership to align strategies, review performance, and address escalations.
- Track pipeline development, deal registrations, training participation, partner engagement, revenue performance, and other key business development metrics.
- Provide regular market intelligence covering customer requirements, competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, and data infrastructure trends.
- Partner with marketing and solutions teams on campaigns, collateral, demand-generation programs, and solution offerings.
- Support cloud infrastructure initiatives by collaborating with hyperscaler teams and positioning data infrastructure solutions within cloud-native and hybrid environments.
- Communicate partner promotions, incentives, product launches, and program updates across the sales organization.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive initiatives across multiple business segments without direct reporting authority.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in technology sales, business development, partner management, account management, or a comparable commercial role.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, developing sales pipelines, and building strategic technology partnerships.
- Experience with enterprise storage, data management, cloud infrastructure, or related technology solutions is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of data infrastructure concepts, including storage architecture, performance optimization, data protection, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Understanding of cloud platforms and hyperscaler integrations, particularly Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Familiarity with consumption-based infrastructure models and the ability to communicate their business value to customers.
- Experience working in channel, partner-facing, or alliance management environments is preferred.
- Ability to identify customer needs, develop compelling use cases, and translate technical capabilities into business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline development, forecasting, CRM systems, and sales enablement tools; Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence across complex organizational structures.
- Strategic thinker with strong execution, organization, project management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across sales, marketing, solutions, architecture, and partner teams.
- Willingness to travel approximately 35% for customer meetings, partner events, internal collaboration, business reviews, and industry conferences.
