Student Employee - Workforce Training and Community Education in Student Employment, Kansas at Barton Community College

Position Description: Responsible for duties and tasks assigned in functions that will aid the division's daily operations. Position Responsibilities: 40.00% - Assist WTCE Office with general office duties including filing, copying, computer work, etc. 10.00% - Assist in preparation of special events - CTE Month, Division Meetings, etc. 10.00% - Customer service - assist with on-site customers and office coverage as necessary 10.00% - Assist with class activity preparation including creating packets and preparing activity materials as directed by instructors. 10.00% - Assist with campus deliveries 10.00% - Assist with daily upkeep of classrooms and labs 5.00% - Assist with WTCE Faculty with classroom activities Expectations: Ability to maintain confidentiality Accuracy in work Interpersonal skills and customer service skills Postive attitude Open line of communication with supervisor. Absence, change of schedule, etc. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Other skills - Workstudy employment and campus employment-determined eligibility and enrolled in at least six credit hours during the fall and spring semester Experience - Keyboarding experience and some knowledge of computer softwares Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings.
