Job Description
An employee in this position would provide assistance to the Project Manager in overseeing daily operations.
Essential Functions:
Under the direction of the Laundry Project Manager, the duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist the PM in Implementing a plan to accomplish all required work in an efficient manner utilizing established standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring quality control, quality improvement, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
2. Assist in making employees’ schedules and ensuring schedules are followed to meet contract requirements.
3. Assist with the inventory of all supplies and linen as needed.
4. Maintaining appropriate records to assure the efficiency and accuracy of the operation.
5. Maintaining good customer relations with contracted facilities and outside contractors/companies.
6. Maintaining ongoing constructive communication with the PM to assure implementation of the contract work.
7. Assist the PM to Implement systems set forth to improve the efficiency and quality of contract requirements.
8. Assist as needed in all functions of the laundry including but not limited to sorting, delivering, washing, filling carts, folding, and finishing.
9. Training in new employees
10. Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:Qualifications:
1. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
2. A driving record that makes you insurable.
3. Must complete a successful background check.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Ability to push/pull carts weighing up to 800 pounds.
2. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
3. Ability to work well with others.
4. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
5. Requires constant standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
6. Knowledge of providing customer services including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
7. The ability to read and understand the information presented in writing.
8. Knowledge of principles and process for processing commercial laundry. This includes meeting quality standards for service.
9. Knowledge of laundry equipment computer applications.
10. Knowledge or understanding of fault codes pertaining to tunnel, water levels, press operation, large dryer operations and laundry chemicals.
11. Controlling operations of laundry equipment and systems.
12. Watching gauges or other indicators to make sure machines are working properly.
