Outside Sales Representative
Position Summary
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new residential and commercial business through door-to-door prospecting, networking, referrals, and community engagement. This role focuses on building relationships, educating customers on pest control solutions, and driving revenue growth through consistent sales activity and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Prospect and generate new business through door-to-door sales, referrals, networking, and local marketing efforts.
• Conduct property assessments and identify customer pest control needs.
• Present and sell pest management services to residential and commercial customers.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
• Maintain a pipeline of prospects and follow up on leads in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage retention and referrals.
• Accurately complete sales agreements and required documentation.
• Collaborate with operations and service teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Represent the company professionally in the community and at events.
• Stay informed on company services, pricing, promotions, and industry trends.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous sales experience preferred; door-to-door, home services, pest control, roofing, solar, alarm, or similar industries are a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust quickly with customers.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Experience using CRM software and mobile sales applications.
• Knowledge of pest control or related home service industries.
