This role is centered on guiding employees and client organizations through the full lifecycle of leave of absence and accommodation cases, ensuring compliance, clarity, and a high-quality service experience. The Dedicated Consultant acts as a trusted extension of client HR teams, managing sensitive employee situations with accuracy, empathy, and regulatory expertise. You will coordinate across employees, employers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth processing of FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave programs. The environment is structured, fast-paced, and highly detail-oriented, requiring strong communication and organizational discipline. This position offers meaningful impact through supporting employees during critical life and work events. It also requires consistent engagement with compliance-driven processes and data systems. You will play a key role in ensuring both operational efficiency and a supportive employee experience.
- Serve as an extension of client HR teams by managing end-to-end administration of leave of absence and accommodation cases, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and client-specific policies in paragraph format.
- Execute daily operational tasks including leave initiation, case tracking, documentation management, and communication with employees and stakeholders.
- Determine eligibility for FMLA, ADA, state leave programs, and other applicable regulations by reviewing documentation and medical certifications.
- Issue required notices, eligibility determinations, and designation communications within regulatory timelines while maintaining accurate case records.
- Provide ongoing updates to clients regarding case status, return-to-work planning, and employee eligibility outcomes.
- Support employees through the leave process, including guidance on paperwork completion, benefits, and wage replacement options.
- Act as an advisor on reasonable accommodations under ADA, supporting clients in decision-making and case resolution.
- Generate reports and insights for clients and internal teams, ensuring transparency and process tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or a related field, with 5+ years of HR experience including at least 2 years focused on leave administration, FMLA, state leave laws, and ADA processes in paragraph format.
- Strong knowledge of leave of absence regulations and the ability to apply complex policy frameworks in real-world case management scenarios.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Access, with comfort working in data-driven systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee situations professionally and empathetically.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound independent judgment in case management decisions.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with employees and clients.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote, team-based environment.
