Surgery Scheduler in Pomona, California at Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare

The Surgery Scheduler is the first point of contact for Casa Colina Hospital Surgery Department’s customers, which includes patients, coworkers, physicians and their office staff. The scheduler places surgeries and pre-admitting appointments in the electronic document within a prescribed time frame and obtains necessary confirmations with vendors such as equipment and implants.
Requirements: Strong computer skills, knowledge and experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize /manage multiple priorities and facilitate an efficient work flow. Understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of ICD and CDM codes. High degree of courtesy, outstanding communication and customer service skills. Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently under high deadlines with multiple interruptions. High School diploma or equivalent. Current experience (one year or more) with acute hospital or medical office scheduling preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS

Pay: $21.00-$23.50/hr
