Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
- The Rehabilitation Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of essential business functions that may include: Claims Denial Management, Auditing Medicare Claims in Return to Provider (RTP) Status, Admitting and Billing functions, Scheduling, Check In/Out activities, EMR facilitation, Cashiering, Communications, Insurance Pre-Authorization Certifications, and Referral Verification.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
- High school diploma; Bachelor degree in Business or Healthcare; or minimum of three (3) years experience in a related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 3 to 5 years in Healthcare related field
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- N/A
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology, International Classification Coding of Diseases and Current Procedural Terminology guidelines and requirements related to inpatient and outpatient therapy services.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assists as a staff member of clinic.
- Oversees daily operations of clinic: Directs the clinic workforce in terms of staffing and scheduling. Influences staff to use resources efficiently; oversees and participates in the daily business operations of registration, patient insurance, billing processes and account reimbursement.
- Provides leadership: serves as an exemplary role model and projects a positive image of Froedtert South following the Froedtert South Mission Statement and Values.
- Maintains positive interdepartmental working relationships for the purpose of streamlining operations to improve patient care delivery.
- Assists/educates staff and physicians in complying with patient billing and referral requirements.
