This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Development Representative II, Emerging - Instacart Business based in Canada.
You will join a fast-growing B2B sales motion focused on building and scaling new customer acquisition within an emerging market segment that is still being defined. In this role, you will act as a key driver of pipeline generation and revenue growth, combining outbound prospecting discipline with consultative selling to open new accounts. You will engage directly with small and mid-sized business prospects across multiple industries that rely on fast, reliable delivery solutions. The environment is highly entrepreneurial, with significant ownership over territory strategy, messaging, and execution. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and operations to refine targeting and improve conversion. This is a high-impact role where your work directly shapes how a new business line expands and matures in the market.
You will be responsible for building and converting a strong pipeline of new business opportunities within the emerging segment, driving consistent outbound activity and full-cycle deal execution.
- Generate and manage outbound pipeline through daily prospecting activities, maintaining high-volume outreach and disciplined follow-up across target accounts
- Own deals from first contact through close, including discovery, product demonstrations, negotiation, and final contract execution
- Consistently meet or exceed quota targets for pipeline creation and closed-won revenue in a fast-paced sales environment
- Develop and refine repeatable sales plays, including ICP definition, messaging sequences, and conversion strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring customer insights into product, marketing, and operational improvements
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and navigate complex buying committees across multiple personas
You bring a strong foundation in outbound B2B sales with demonstrated success in building pipeline and closing deals, ideally in high-growth or early-stage environments.
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience in SDR, BDR, or Account Executive roles focused on outbound prospecting and new business acquisition
- 1+ year of full-cycle sales experience managing opportunities from qualification to close in SMB or emerging-market segments
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and performance targets
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce and sequencing platforms like Outreach or Salesloft, along with prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to multiple stakeholders and business functions
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
