Capitol Technology University is a career-focused university located in Laurel, Maryland, between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Director of Graduate School Admissions will play a crucial role in recruitment, evaluation, and enrollment processes for the Graduate School. The Director will be a highly motivated individual with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, who is passionate about growing enrollment and ensuring a smooth admissions pathway for prospective students.
This is a full-time 12-month, exempt position on our beautiful 52-acre campus in Laurel, MD, on the Baltimore Washington parkway.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive, data-driven recruitment plans to increase enrollment and attract a diver applicant pool;
- Build strategic partnerships with institutions, employers, and professional organizations to strengthen student recruitment channels;
- Oversee the evaluation of applications, ensure consistent and holistic reviews, and finalize acceptance or rejection decisions in coordination with academics;
- Train and mentor admissions team members;
- Track and analyze enrollment metrics and application trends to report directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs;
- Design and supervise targeted communication plans to guide prospective students through the application process and yield admitted students;
- Support Graduate School operations as needed;
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning;
- Possess at least 5 years of experience in higher education;
- Possess proficiency with CRM and SIS (Jenzabar and Salesforce is preferred);
- Exhibit an ability to perform administrative duties with speed and accuracy;
- Possess the ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Possess excellent project management skills;
- Possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment;
- Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Physical Demands
There are limited physical demands; however, this position requires sitting occasionally for extended periods of time, and repetitive motions for tasks such as operating a computer mouse and keyboard, and hearing and speaking on the telephone. The candidate must be able to lift, pull, bend, grasp, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Salary Range
The salary for this position typically ranges from $73,000 to $83,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
