The Assistant Director is a key leader who helps ensure the success of our preschool by supporting daily operations, developing teachers, building partnerships with families, and maintaining a culture of excellence. This role helps balance high-quality early childhood education with exceptional care and customer service.
Minimum Qualifications- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of state licensing requirements and health and safety regulations.
- Passion for early childhood education and child development.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Previous Assistant Director, Curriculum Coordinator, or Preschool Leadership experience.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Experience coaching teachers and supporting curriculum implementation.
- Knowledge of Quality Rated standards and best practices in early childhood education.
- Support the Director in overseeing daily preschool operations.
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of every child, family, and staff member.
- Lead with our "Hug First, Then Teach" philosophy by creating a warm, welcoming, and relationship-focused environment.
- Support and monitor the implementation of our daily curriculum across all classrooms.
- Ensure lesson plans are meaningful, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with school expectations.
- Coach and mentor teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences that promote kindergarten readiness and a love of learning.
- Build strong relationships with families through open communication and partnership.
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements and company policies.
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Support enrollment efforts, family tours, and community engagement activities.
- Help maintain a positive school culture centered on safety, education, teamwork, and excellence.
