Job Description

Senior Compensation Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Compensation Consultant based in the United States.

This role offers an opportunity to shape sophisticated compensation programs within a complex, large-scale healthcare environment. You’ll serve as a senior subject matter expert across job evaluation, internal equity, market analysis, incentive compensation, and specialized compensation programs. The position combines strategic consulting with hands-on analysis, program administration, and project leadership. You’ll partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and organizational leaders to develop equitable, competitive, and compliant compensation practices. A significant focus will be on incentive compensation and the continued development of compensation processes within Workday Extend. You’ll also contribute to executive, physician, international, and sales compensation initiatives while supporting broader Total Rewards priorities. This is a fully remote role suited to an experienced compensation professional who enjoys complex projects, cross-functional collaboration, and working with a high degree of autonomy.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead complex compensation initiatives involving job evaluation, internal equity, market reviews, compensation surveys, and broader compensation analysis.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across compensation administration, including executive compensation, incentive programs, international compensation, sales compensation, and other specialized areas.
  • Manage and support incentive compensation programs, including eligibility reviews, scoring, award calculations, compensation rules, structures, and related processes.
  • Lead the build-out and ongoing development of incentive compensation processes within Workday Extend, including compensation activities connected to system configuration.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and organizational leaders to identify, assess, and resolve compensation-related initiatives and issues.
  • Lead major and complex compensation projects while contributing to broader Human Resources programs and initiatives, including physician compensation, international compensation reviews, the Mission Impact Plan, and Workday Extend.
  • Conduct audits of compensation programs and practices to ensure alignment with internal policies and applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Monitor market and legal trends to assess compensation competitiveness, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide guidance on compensation-related Workday solutions and support HR representatives in effectively administering direct and indirect compensation programs.
  • Mentor and develop lower-level compensation analysts and contribute expertise to team-wide knowledge sharing.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 10 years of professional experience in compensation.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities and complex projects.
  • Strong consulting and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Talent Acquisition, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze compensation data, market trends, legal requirements, and program effectiveness.
  • Experience with compensation program administration, incentive compensation, and compensation structures.
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar HR technology platforms and the ability to contribute to compensation-related system solutions.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification is preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to perform work requiring extended periods of computer use and sitting, with normal or corrected vision and sufficient dexterity for computer-based work.
  • Ability to perform duties across multiple facilities or locations when required.
  • Candidates residing in Ohio, Florida, or Nevada are preferred.
  • Ability to follow applicable workplace health and safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
Benefits
  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Comprehensive benefits designed to support health, well-being, and long-term financial security.
  • Opportunities to contribute to complex compensation programs and high-impact organizational initiatives.
  • Exposure to executive, incentive, physician, international, and other specialized compensation disciplines.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, cross-functional collaboration, and continued development within a large-scale healthcare environment.
