Operations Team Lead in Scott, Louisiana at Hoover Holdings Group Inc

Responsibilities:

• Lead development and practice of ZERO HARM policies
• Satisfy Hoover CS’s expectations regarding quality, timeliness, communications, and other areas. Support Hoover Circular Solutions drive to develop customer loyalty
• Maintain and ensure that all SOPs are being followed.
• Coordinate training on company policy especially HSE and operational performance.

• Identify and implement activities to achieve goals, areas of cost and efficiency improvement
• Support personnel activities such as selection, training, or evaluation
• Maintain operational compliance with applicable regulations
• Other duties as assigned
• Maintain inventory in work area
• Must be able to paint, scrap and apply decal stickers to tanks
• Perform routine maintenance in the work area; i.e. sweeping and basic clean up
• Handle parts, materials, equipment, and tools used in the assembly process or to be shipped
• Must be able to work in a group.

Skills Required

• 5+ years’ experience in warehouse operations
• Knowledge of regulations surrounding packaging and shipment dangerous and hazardous materials
• Background in the refining/petrochemical catalyst industry
• Strong background in safety
• Knowledge of PPE and SDS sheets
• Demonstrate ability to complete work orders
• Demonstrate ability to work both alone and in groups

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. frequently
• Moderate physical effort which requires standing on a concrete floor for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb, bend, and stoop to perform various functions of the position
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Good visual acuity
