Summary:

Our Florida Adena Structural concrete division is seeking an experienced Concrete Finishers to perform the placement, finishing, and curing of concrete for a variety of commercial and industrial construction projects. This position is responsible for ensuring concrete work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and company quality standards.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1. Set forms and ensure proper alignment to hold concrete in place during placement and curing.
2. Prepare, clean, and inspect surfaces prior to concrete pours to identify and address potential issues.
3. Assist with and direct the placement and casting of concrete according to project specifications.
4. Pour, smooth, level, and finish concrete using hand tools and power equipment, including rakes, screeds, floats, trowels, and power finishing tools.
5. Monitor weather conditions and concrete curing processes to ensure optimal finished results.
6. Apply sealants, hardeners, and other surface treatments as required.
7. Operate power vibrators and related equipment to properly consolidate and compact concrete.
8. Collaborate with supervisors, laborers, and other construction team members to maintain production schedules and quality standards.
9. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
10. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to promote a safe work environment.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

1. 1-2 years of experience in concrete finishing.
2. Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work
3. 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment
4. Must obtain proper training and certifications prior to operating equipment
5. Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust
6. Ability to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
7. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
8. Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
9. Must have the necessary dexterity and fine motor skills
10. Ability to work in an environment where the noise level is generally loud
11. Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may at times require overnight stays away from home
12. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
13. Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
