SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the daily accounting transactional processing and reporting including
account analysis, general ledger and financial reporting. The individual will perform moderately
complicated accounting work exercising independent judgment and action.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interact with business operations to understand the underlying reasons for changes in financial results.
- Assist in the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, cost center analysis, and month-end reporting.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities if and when they might arise.
- Prepare various monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management.
- Manage and provide support to AP and AR functions.
- Provide support for various special projects, as needed.
- Provide support to physical inventory process.
- Support routine bank and annual external audits by outside CPA firm.
- Other duties as assigned.
· Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence and memos.
· Ability to deal with non-standard situations with multiple variables.
· Significant amount of basic math (+, -, x, /) and accounting knowledge, but also percentages, statistical and linear mathematical functions, logic expressions and Excel formulas knowledge required.
Requirements:EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.· Minimum 3 or more years general ledger or related accounting experience for an industrial manufacturing company.QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to maintain discretion, tact and poise to work with confidential company information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills; organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify problems and take initiative to resolve independently.
- Strong computer skills; Excel proficiency is a must. Experience in Syteline or other ERP system is a plus. Training will be provided.
