Job Description

FP&A Analyst, Mergers & Acquisitions

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a FP&A Analyst, Mergers & Acquisitions in the United States.

This role sits at the core of post-acquisition financial performance, connecting deal assumptions to real-world operational outcomes across newly integrated businesses. You will act as the financial bridge between corporate development, integration teams, and operational finance, ensuring visibility into how acquisitions perform against expectations. The position plays a critical role in tracking synergies, monitoring KPIs, and translating complex financial and operational data into clear executive insights. You will own key reporting processes such as monthly business reviews, P&L tracking, and synergy measurement across multiple acquired entities. Working closely with cross-functional leaders, you will help identify risks, uncover optimization opportunities, and support strategic decisions that directly impact enterprise value creation. This is a highly analytical and high-visibility role in a fast-scaling environment where precision, speed, and business partnership are essential.

Accountabilities:
  • Own monthly financial business review (MBR) reporting, including KPI tracking, variance analysis, and executive-level commentary for acquired businesses.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance synergy tracking models to measure revenue, cost, and operational synergy realization across deals and workstreams.
  • Reconcile deal underwriting assumptions with actual post-close P&L performance, ensuring clear visibility into financial targets and execution progress.
  • Maintain and update multi-year P&L forecasts for acquired companies, incorporating evolving integration dynamics and operational changes.
  • Track and analyze key financial and operational metrics such as gross profit, EBITDA, fulfillment margin, and labor efficiency indicators.
  • Partner with integration and operations teams to translate milestones (system migrations, headcount changes, billing cutovers) into financial impacts.
  • Support TSA tracking, cost monitoring, and exit planning while identifying financial risks and opportunities early in the integration lifecycle.
  • Lead post-integration financial reviews to evaluate synergy realization, document variances, and improve future acquisition underwriting and playbooks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, business intelligence, financial analysis, or data-driven decision support roles.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms for dashboard development and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze large, complex datasets and translate insights into executive-level presentations and recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis within a corporate or M&A environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, and integration teams.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or FP&A tools (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Essbase, NetSuite) is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience
  • Remote flexibility within the United States, with preference for Eastern Time Zone alignment
  • Opportunity to work in a high-growth, acquisition-driven environment
  • Exposure to end-to-end M&A lifecycle and strategic financial decision-making
  • Collaborative, cross-functional work culture with strong ownership and visibility
  • Career development opportunities in FP&A, corporate finance, and M&A analytics
  • Access to modern BI tools, data platforms, and advanced analytics environments
