Job Description:

The Material Handler plays a crucial role in our operations, moving materials to support production needs. They ensure inventory accuracy in the electronic inventory management system and by physical location. Their contribution to our mission includes cleaning and organizing the warehouse work area and monitoring and maintaining material handling equipment, including routine maintenance as necessary. This hands-on role requires sitting, standing, lifting, and squatting throughout the day. This position is essential to support the department in maximizing customer satisfaction for both internal and external customers.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Physically Locate and maintain designated inventory locations as necessary.
  • Pick raw material inventory as required based on system-generated pick list.
  • Issue raw material inventory to work orders.
  • Transfer materials before, and after-production activities utilizing in-house ERP.
  • Report raw material shortages to schedule and purchase.
  • Maintain clean and organized warehouse and raw material storage areas to facilitate manufacturing support.
  • Complete regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Complete physical inventory counts to verify inventory accuracy by component and location.
  • Ensure optimal customer service by assisting internal and external customers with accurate and timely responses to inquiries.
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Material Handler Lead or Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
  • Complete training records and other documentation as required.
  • Complete routine tasks with minimal supervision (Motivated, Individual Contributor).
  • Maintain clean and organized warehouse and raw material storage areas to facilitate manufacturing support.
  • The work environment may include areas within a Cleanroom.
  • The Material Hander Lead or Warehouse Supervisor/Manager may assign other duties as necessary.
Requirements:

Job Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and guidance documents.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English.
  • Ability to complete paperwork in English.
  • Ability to apply general math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Ability to use basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to use a computer-based ERP system.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to do repetitive work.
  • Ability to lift or move 50 lbs. objects.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
