Job Description
The warehouse supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse facility, ensuring efficient and smooth functioning of all warehouse activities.
Essential responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storing, pikcing, organizing, and distributing goods. Ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain proper inventory levels by overseeing inventory management processes, including regular stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciling any discrepancies.
• Supervise the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that incoming shipments are checked for accuracy, quality, and quantity.
• Ensure safe working environments. Enforce safety policies and procedures, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a culture of safety among warehouse staff.
• Seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction by identifying inefficiencies or bottlenecks in warehouse operations and implement changes or best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferable; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
