Magnolia Companies is seeking an experienced Wet Utility Foreman to lead field crews responsible for the installation of storm drainage, water, and sewer systems on construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of wet utility construction, and the ability to safely manage crews while maintaining project quality, productivity, and safety standards. This position requires the ability to read and interpret civil plans and construction details, coordinate daily field activities, and proactively resolve challenges in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews performing storm drainage, water, and sewer installation work.
- Plan and coordinate daily crew activities to meet project schedules, safety requirements, and production goals.
- Read and interpret civil construction plans, drawings, specifications, and details.
- Ensure work is completed according to project requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
- Provide direction, training, and support to crew members.
- Monitor jobsite safety and ensure compliance with company safety procedures.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
- Identify potential issues and proactively implement solutions to maintain project progress.
- Manage materials, equipment, and resources needed for daily operations.
- Maintain accurate communication regarding project status, progress, and challenges.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience leading crews in wet utility construction.
- Experience with storm drainage, water, and sewer system installation required.
- Ability to read and understand civil plans, construction drawings, and project details.
- Strong knowledge of underground utility construction practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and crew management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
