Windsor Hospitality is looking for a Full-Time Sous Chef to help run the kitchen at our Embassy Suites by Hilton in San Luis Obispo — steps from downtown SLO, local wineries, and the Central Coast's best hiking and beaches. If you love leading a team, developing menus, and turning out great food shift after shift, we want to meet you.

What you'll do:
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to cultivate a positive and cohesive departmental culture.
- Manage kitchen staff and ensure quality preparation of every menu item, in line with food safety standards
- Estimate food consumption, order and receive foodstuffs, and manage food and labor costs
- Develop menus and recipes across all outlets
- Oversee breakfast and dinner service to standard
- Oversee banquet production, execution and food quality to standard
- Train, counsel, and motivate the kitchen team
- Maintain schedules and payroll records as needed
- Ensure the team stays current on food handler certifications and health code compliance
- Keep the kitchen, storage areas, and property clean and sanitary
You're a great fit if you:
- Have culinary management experience and thrive leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen
- Can multitask and keep composure during a busy service
- Know your way around hand tools and kitchen equipment
- Are comfortable estimating costs, forecasting business levels, and managing budgets
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
