Job Description
The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment, seeks a Social Worker. The clients of the Entertainment Community Fund are a diverse, dynamic and engaging group of working and retired professionals which include musicians, actors, stage managers, set designers, hair and make-up stylists, costume designers, ushers, and radio hosts, to name a few. The agency is seeking a clinically oriented Social Worker to provide clinical case management, counseling and group services to support professionals in the arts community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Social Worker will work with individuals and families living in the Central Region seeking assistance to address a myriad of work/life balance concerns including: emergency financial need, mental health, health, or housing concerns. Using a clinical case management model, you will develop comprehensive plans to address the presenting concern and collaborate with community resources to provide support. This position will evaluate and advocate for emergency financial assistance through the Entertainment Community Fund and partner/contract programs as well as serve as a liaison to internal and external support services. Additionally, this position will lead groups and workshops.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree from an accredited School of Social Work with state licensure.
- Strong assessment, intensive clinical case management and advocacy skills. Crisis intervention skills are a must with the ability to engage a wide range of presentations.
- Organized and able to handle diverse tasks in a fast paced, high volume environment.
- Experience working within a crisis intervention as well as brief treatment model preferred.

ABOUT THIS POSITION
This is a full-time salaried or hourly position based in the Entertainment Community Fund’s Central Region Office in Chicago. competitive salary, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including: choice of multiple health plans, dental plan, voluntary vision, flex and dependent care plans, employer-paid life and long-term disability insurance, supplemental life and disability, 401(k) plan with generous employer match, tuition reimbursement, generous paid time off and Wage Works commuter benefit or paid parking, depending on location.
COMPENSATION
Compensation is commensurate with licensure type and years of experience. The salary range for candidates who hold an MSW is between $69,000 - $73,422. The salary range for candidates who hold an LCSW is between $76,620 - $78,422. Internships, volunteer work, and gaps in employment will not be counted towards years of experience.
