Position Summary
The HRIS and Technology Operations Specialist supports EduCare Foundation by maintaining accurate employee information, administering HR systems, producing workforce reports, and providing day-to-day technology support across the organization.
This position is responsible for HRIS data integrity, employee account administration, technology and equipment tracking, routine troubleshooting, reporting, and coordination with external technology vendors.
The HRIS and Technology Operations Specialist reports to the Senior Human Resources Manager and works closely with Payroll, Finance, Program Operations, and other departments to ensure employee systems, data, and technology resources are accurate, accessible, and effectively maintained.

What You’ll Do
HRIS Administration and Data Integrity
- Process new hires, rehires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, leaves, supervisor changes, and terminations in Paylocity.
- Maintain accurate employee, position, department, location, cost-center, and reporting-relationship data.
- Review Change of Status forms and conduct routine HRIS audits to identify and correct missing, duplicate, outdated, or inconsistent information.
- Maintain electronic employee records and reconcile HRIS information with Payroll, Recruiting, Finance, and benefits records
- Assist employees and managers with Paylocity access, system questions, configuration updates, testing, and new processes.
Reporting and Tracking
- Produce recurring and ad hoc reports related to headcount, vacancies, hiring, turnover, transfers, leaves, and employment-status changes.
- Maintain HR compliance trackers, dashboards, reporting calendars, and follow-up items.
- Prepare accurate workforce data for leadership, audits, legal requests, grants, insurance matters, and organizational planning.
- Identify trends, discrepancies, and outstanding items and communicate concerns to HR leadership.
- Document reporting procedures and maintain clear step-by-step instructions.
Technology Operations
- Create, modify, and deactivate employee email and system accounts during onboarding, transfers, and separations.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of laptops, phones, tablets, badges, hotspots, and other organizational equipment.
- Coordinate the distribution, transfer, return, and documentation of equipment.
- Provide basic troubleshooting for accounts, passwords, software access, printers, equipment, meetings, and training sessions.
- Maintain technology-support records, conduct access audits, and coordinate unresolved technical or security issues with external vendors.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have formal employee supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements:Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience
- At least two years of experience in HR operations, HRIS administration, data reporting, technology support, or a related function.
- Experience using Paylocity or another HRIS.
- Experience maintaining confidential records, producing reports, and identifying or correcting data discrepancies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas, filters, data validation, and data reconciliation.
- Ability to learn and administer technology platforms and troubleshoot routine user issues.
- Ability to explain systems and technical information clearly to employees and managers.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, customer service, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage recurring responsibilities, competing priorities, and deadlines.
- Ability to recognize delays or issues and proactively request assistance when appropriate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential employee and organizational information.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, PHR, data analytics, information technology, or related professional certification.
- Experience administering Google Workspace accounts and access permissions.
- Previous experience in HR technology, IT support, help-desk support, or systems administration.
- Experience with HRIS implementation, system configuration, data migration, or process automation.
- Experience maintaining equipment inventories or coordinating external technology vendors.
- Experience developing dashboards in Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, or Looker Studio.
- Experience supporting a multi-location organization or a large hourly or part-time workforce.

Schedule and Work-Location Requirements
- This is a full-time, hourly position scheduled to work approximately 40 hours per week.
- The position follows a hybrid work schedule and requires regular onsite availability at EduCare Foundation’s Van Nuys office
- Additional onsite attendance or travel to EduCare locations throughout the Los Angeles area may be required for meetings, training, equipment support, or other operational needs.
- Occasional schedule adjustments may be required to support organizational or technology needs.
Compensation and Benefits
- The anticipated pay range for this position is $30.00–$33.00 per hour. The starting rate will be based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience, education, certifications, technical skills, and overall qualifications.

Pre-Employment and Continuing Requirements
Before beginning employment, the selected candidate must:
- Successfully complete all applicable background and pre-employment requirements.
- Provide proof of a negative tuberculosis test dated within 60 days before the hire date.
- Complete required employment and onboarding documentation.
- Following hire, the employee must complete all assigned organizational, safety, compliance, and technology-related training and maintain any certifications or requirements associated with the position.
