Drill Press / Saw Operator in Ocala, Florida at Road King Trailers Inc

Drill Press Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup: Select and install the correct drill bits, adjust speed, depth, and angle, and securely position the workpiece on the drill press table to ensure precision and safety
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or work orders to determine hole locations, sizes, tolerances, and surface finish requirements
• Operation: Drill, ream, tap, countersink, or chamfer holes according to specifications, monitoring the process and making adjustments as needed .
• Quality Control: Inspect drilled parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges to ensure compliance with tolerances and standards.
• Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on the drill press; report any issues to maintenance staff.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear protective equipment, and ensure the work area is free from hazards.

Saw Operation Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal material. Job entails heavy lifting. Does require a tape measure and being able to properly read a tape measure.
