Heavy Equipment Operator at City of Crystal River (FL) – Crystal River, Florida

Skilled equipment operator must be able to operate all of the City’s construction equipment proficiently. Execution of work is often self-directed with general direction from the Superintendent. Overtime may be required in call out situations.

• Demonstrates the ability to operate all major construction equipment and miscellaneous equipment owned by the City, including dump trucks, small tractors, bucket truck, bush hog, side mower, backhoe, scraper, grapple truck, box blade, and pump-out boat.
• Forms and pours concrete, trims trees, cleans and maintains catch basins, mows rights-of-way, paints curbs and street lines, and installs, repairs and maintains street signs.
• Performs daily routine maintenance to equipment including checking fluids, grease units according to operations manual, visual review of equipment, check air pressure and cleaning of equipment.
• Performs manual labor tasks as assigned below class designation.

Must possess a valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License.
