We’re seeking Part-Time Stock Clerk at Challenge Unlimited, Inc. at the Scott Air Force Base.
- Pay Rate: $22.90 per hour
- Schedule: Monday - Wednesday - Fridays - 6:00 am - 2:00pm

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager, the Stock Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Operations team that furthers our mission to help people who have different abilities to receive work support and development as needed—achieving the highest level of independence possible.
Responsible for stock rotation, delivering supplies, issuing requisitioned supplies, and janitorial duties at the assigned site. Labels and dilutes chemicals used and maintain cleaning supplies including laundry duties for mops and rags. Cleans, sanitizes, sweeps, mops, vacuums, dusts, restocks, and empties trash. Operates equipment safely. Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers, communicating needs to the supervisor, and implementing feedback for improvement. Performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Paid at Stock Clerk Wage
Administrative Support:
Maintain and update inventory records. Prepare supply orders for deliveries and issue requisitioned supplies to janitorial teams. Complete delivery of janitorial supplies to work sites. Maintain organization of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemicals used on all custodial contract worksites as assigned.
Inventory Support:
Account for and receive supply orders from distributors and put them away in the stockroom. Reconcile inventory discrepancies. Maintain organization by restocking products on shelves. Use the stock in & stock out rotation. Report on any stock issues to management.
General Cleaning:
Perform general cleaning and floor care requirements on assigned sites. Clean, sanitize, and restock bathrooms including sweeping & mopping floors, sinks, toilets, glass & mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel. Vacuum, sweep and mop floors and stairs. Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles, as necessary. Maintain and organize chemical and equipment storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner. Clean, sanitize, and restock common areas and break rooms including sinks, countertops, microwaves, coffee makers, and refrigerators in break rooms. Dust and clean office desks and furniture that is not cluttered. Clean windowsills and windows.
Special Tasks as Assigned:
Complete all laundry duties for mops and cleaning rags as needed. Assist with stripping, waxing, and polishing floors or carpet cleaning. Transport vehicles to repair shops. Properly label, dilute, and use approved chemicals.

Maintain effective communication and positive relationships with co-workers, communicating needs to supervisor and implementing feedback for improvement. Assist with training, answering questions as they arise, and other tasks as assigned with a special focus on safety, quality, and customer service. Ensure a high rate of client and staff satisfaction.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or G.E.D.
Past work experience in any field. Previous experience in inventory, shipping & handling, or warehouse helpful.
Requires attention to detail and data entry skills.
Driver’s License (regular in IL, WI, OH, SC; Class E in MO)
Excel (if needed by site)
Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook (based on site)
Must pass criminal background check.
Must pass various State and Federal registry checks.
Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria.
Company travel using personal insured vehicle is not required
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
1.Occasionally sitting in the normal course of office-sedentary type work.
2.Continually standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and twisting in the stocking, organizing, dusting, cleaning, sweeping, moping, vacuuming, removing trash and performing other related stocking duties.
3.Occasionally listens and speaks with managers and employees to collect and offer information about work assignments, progress, requests, and help needed
4.Continually visually alert to monitor the area where work is performed, the stocking equipment, and other workers’ actions to maintain safety and complete service duties. Reads information, often in small print. Visually locates labels or other objects.
5.Continually using hands in writing, filing, stocking, organizing, arranging, cleaning, grasping, lifting, carrying, wiping, squeezing, and balancing.
6.Continually bending, reaching, and twisting; occasionally climbing stairs and/or ladders squatting, and kneeling.
7.Frequently lifting, carrying, and pushing or pulling up to 75 lbs. of product cases, mop bucket filled with water, trash barrels, etc. Assists in team lifting as needed
