We’re hiring a Service Technician at our Central 100 Communities (The Ashley, The Carson, The Wayne, The Cleveland, The Prescott at Park West, Cyrene on Estrella) in Chandler, Mesa, Goodyear, & Peoria. AZ. In this role, you will help keep our communities running smoothly by handling maintenance repairs and contributing to the upkeep of the community, while providing the five-star service that makes Mark-Taylor communities feel like home.

Compensation:

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hr - $24.00/hr
  • All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
  • Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***
Requirements:
  • Experience as an apartment maintenance technician, service technician, make-ready, or related preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drywall, and general apartment maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, team members, and vendors.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and maintaining high property standards.
  • High-energy, self-motivated work ethic with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to effectively respond to changing priorities and maintenance needs.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Ability to prioritize work orders and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills with experience using maintenance or property management software preferred.
  • EPA, HVAC, CPO, or other industry-specific certifications preferred.
  • A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will:

  • Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
  • Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
  • Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
  • Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
  • Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
  • Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
  • Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
