Anchor Innovation, Inc. (Anchor) is diversified technical service provider to U.S. Government and Military organizations. We provide highly qualified professional personnel to support critical training, maintenance, and operational missions. Anchor is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA.

IMMEDIATE HIRE - Anchor seeks former USN and MSC personnel with the experience and expertise to provide full-time contract instructional support for MSC Bridge Resources Management training at Joint Expeditionary Base, Little Creek, VA and other locations CONUS and OCONUS.

Position: BRM Instructor position is an immediate fill

Duties: As part of the Anchor team, support administration and delivery of MUTC course instruction both within the schoolhouse, or embarked globally. Bridge Resource Management instructors deliver MSC courses of instruction, collaborate with MSC and ship crew for course scheduling, and coordinate for travel to ship locations world-wide. Position requires an active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

Bridge Resource Management INST – 10+ years MSC or Navy operations expertise:

  • US Navy Officer (O-5 and above with Command) or Navy SWO qualified (O-4 and above surface command preferred) with Officer of the Deck qualification and 2-years experience with deep draft ship, including conning alongside; or,
  • Recent senior MSC or Merchant Marine Unlimited Deck License, Master (at least 1 year), or Chief Mate (2 years) (Master Unlimited/Oceans preferred) including conning alongside.

Instructors:

  • Active SECRET Clearance (eligible)
  • Navy Instructor or USCG Train the Trainer course completion (desired)
  • Experience Training in a military/civilian environment
  • Knowledge of curriculum design, development and requirements
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Must be proficient in MS Office products, Adobe and mobile devices
  • Training Courses have varying experience and expertise related to the curriculum – Minimum requirement:
