Schedule:

Primarily day shift, and may require occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on mission requirements.

Overview:

Olgoonik is seeking an experienced Project Supervisor to lead day-to-day warehouse operations supporting the storage, inventory management, handling, and distribution of Government-owned products in a climate-controlled warehouse environment. The Project Supervisor will serve as a primary contractor point of contact for Government personnel, and will have responsibility for coordinating daily operations, personnel, workload, production, and issue resolution. The Project Supervisor must be comfortable working in a Government/contractor environment and possess strong warehouse management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates day-to-day warehouse operations and contractor activities.
  • Plans and assigns personnel to accomplish daily workload requirements.
  • Monitors productivity, quality, safety, and overall mission performance.
  • Serves as a primary contractor interface with Government representatives.
  • Attends scheduled and unscheduled meetings, briefings, and workload planning sessions.
  • Identifies operational issues and develops effective corrective actions.
  • Ensures adequate personnel are assigned to functional areas and shifts to accomplish required workload.
  • Monitors receiving, storage, inventory, stock control, issue, shipping, and distribution operations.
  • Ensures contractor personnel follow established SOPs, Government procedures, safety requirements, and security requirements.
  • Coordinates personnel training and ensures employees have required WMS roles, training, and system access.
  • Supports audits, inspections, inventory activities, and Government quality assurance evaluations.
  • Prepares and review required reports, production metrics, and operational documentation.
  • Responds to Government inquiries and operational issues within required timeframes.
  • Supports emergency and contingency operations when directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises warehouse employees within their assigned area of responsibility as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply operations.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling, inventory management, and distribution processes.
  • Experience working with automated warehouse management or supply systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise employees, assign workload, and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Government customers and contractor personnel.
  • Ability to obtain required installation access, CAC, and system credentials.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required by mission needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be articulate, creative, a problem solver, a decision maker, and a change agent.
  • Must have excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite including, Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) or Department of Defense logistics experience.
  • Experience managing climate-controlled or food/subsistence warehouse operations.
  • Experience with DLA WMS.
  • Prior experience supporting Government contracts.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a high-volume distribution environment.
