POSITION SUMMARY:

The Jerky Shack Pitmaster operates out of one of Bluejack National’s most treasured amenities. Located on Hole 12 of our championship golf course, this comfort station serves barbecue and jerky to golfers stopping by during their round, as well as members who visit to enjoy delicious food and take in the beautiful scenery. As the Jerky Shack Attendant, you will be responsible for the set-up, food preparation, organization, sanitation, and production of all food items, as well as closing and properly storing items at your workstation. A friendly disposition and can-do attitude are essential for this position. Providing warm, welcoming service to our members and guests is key to upholding the exceptional standards and experience that Bluejack National is known for.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Responsible for the set-up, execution of daily prep, and organization of the individual workstation.

· Prepare and properly store all food items necessary for the operation of the station in adherence with Bluejack’s quality standards.

· Communicate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef when special products are needed or when there are concerns regarding food quality or presentation.

· Consistently prepare and present food items according to established standards, including portion sizes designated by the Executive Chef, while maintaining Bluejack’s quality standards.

· Maintain proper cooking techniques for station items as designated by the Chef(s).

· Receive and properly store all goods purchased by the kitchen as requested.

· Maintain items used by others and charge non-golfers accordingly for their use.

· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the individual work area, including equipment, counters, tools, waste areas, and other applicable areas.

· Assist fellow Employees, Members, and Guests to ensure the delivery of our steps of service without being directed. Remain aware of team members and the surrounding environment and actively participate as a member of the team.

· Notify the supervisor of Member or Guest complaints as soon as they occur.

· Interact with Members and Guests professionally, assisting with changes and last-minute requests as needed.

· Ensure the appropriate use of all facility supplies and equipment, including non-F&B-related equipment, to minimize loss, waste, fraud, and damage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

· Have a current Food Handlers certification

· Adhere to all club and department standards of operations, policies, and procedures.

· Be able to multi-task and work at an efficient pace to keep up with business needs.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays. Schedule flexible as business dictates.

ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION:

Soliciting gratuities from members or guests is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Gratuities include items such as cash, favors, gifts, tickets to events and other forms of non-financial compensation.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. The employee may be working outside or inside and in different types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain and sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Likely

this role will require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.
