ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and BASIC DUTIES

  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicle parts such as batteries, motor oil and filters.
  • Communicate in an honest and professional manner to customers and other Thomas associates.
  • Reviewing shipments and advise management of shortages or damaged products.
  • Learning new skills and acquiring new knowledge from customers, vendors, fellow employees and corporate training initiatives. Attend training classes provided by Thomas and parts supplier.
  • Work with Warehouse Manager on proper documentation of merchandise control.
  • Maintain truck storage area in a neat and organized manner.
  • Transport product to and from remote locations in a Box Truck.
  • Load and unload product efficiently.
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries/pickups, including appropriate signatures.
  • Properly secure loads and assure loads are within requirements.
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe manner and report problems or defects.
  • Complies with Thomas Quality Control Program, Thomas Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Proper maintenance of assigned service vehicle including appearance as well as on board service equipment.
  • Adheres to working schedule and utilizes time clock per Thomas guidelines.
  • Understands and upholds the Thomas mission statement.
