NeoGenomics is looking for a Senior Inventory Plannerwho wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This position is a full-time, remote role with a Monday - Friday day shift.

Position Summary:
The Senior Inventory Planner is responsible for developing and executing inventory strategies that ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations while optimizing inventory investment and working capital. This role serves as the subject matter expert for inventory planning, replenishment methodologies, and inventory optimization across the enterprise. The Senior Inventory Planner analyzes demand and supply trends, drives continuous improvement initiatives, partners with laboratory and commercial leadership, mentors junior planners or other supply chain team members, and leads cross-functional efforts to improve inventory performance, service levels, and operational efficiency.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute inventory strategies for laboratory consumables, reagents, kits, capital equipment, and operational supplies across multiple laboratory locations.
- Analyze historical demand, forecast trends, business growth, seasonality, and operational changes to optimize inventory investment while maintaining targeted service levels.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve inventory planning methodologies, including safety stock calculations, reorder points, min/max levels, economic order quantities, and replenishment parameters.
- Lead weekly inventory review meetings with cross-functional stakeholders to review shortages, backorders, supplier constraints, expiring inventory, excess inventory, and mitigation plans.
- Monitor inventory performance and proactively identify risks to laboratory operations while developing contingency plans to minimize supply disruptions.
- Partner with Procurement and Strategic Sourcing to evaluate supplier performance, lead times, and inventory strategies that improve continuity of supply.
- Collaborate with laboratory leadership to understand upcoming testing volume changes, new product introductions, instrumentation implementations, and special projects impacting inventory requirements.
- Create purchasing requisitions based on inventory analysis while balancing inventory investment and customer service objectives.
- Develop executive-level inventory dashboards and KPIs including inventory turns, days of supply, service levels, forecast accuracy, excess inventory, obsolete inventory, supplier performance, and inventory health metrics.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to inventory shortages, stockouts, inventory inaccuracies, and planning exceptions.
- Maintain accurate planning parameters, item master data, and inventory planning settings within Oracle Fusion and other planning systems.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory optimization, planning processes, ERP enhancements, and operational efficiency.
- Participate as a key contributor in SIOP and business planning processes by providing inventory analysis, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
- Support cycle count programs, inventory audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives while identifying opportunities to improve inventory integrity.
- Mentor Inventory Planners and other Supply Chain team members by providing guidance, training, and sharing best practices.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, regulatory requirements, company policies, and internal procedures.
Additional Responsibilities (may be assigned):
- Lead inventory optimization projects across multiple business units.
- Support implementation of new laboratory services, acquisitions, and facility expansions.
- Participate in ERP implementations, upgrades, and planning system enhancements.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures and plan best practices.
- Support annual budgeting and inventory financial planning activities.
- Perform additional strategic planning and supply chain initiatives as assigned.
Position Objectives:
- Maintain inventory availability that supports uninterrupted laboratory operations and customer commitments.
- Optimize inventory investment while improving inventory turns and reducing working capital.
- Minimize stockouts, expired inventory, obsolete inventory, and excess inventory through proactive planning.
- Continuously improve inventory planning methodologies, planning parameters, and replenishment strategies.
- Provide accurate inventory reporting and analytics that support executive decision-making.
- Improve supplier performance through effective inventory collaboration and planning.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve inventory performance and operational efficiency.
- Mentor planning team members while promoting standardized planning processes and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain performance.

Experience, Education, and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory planning, supply planning, materials management, production planning, or supply chain management required.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
- Experience in healthcare, laboratory, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated industries strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading inventory optimization initiatives and managing complex inventory portfolios required.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud or a comparable ERP planning system preferred.
- Experience developing executive dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting required.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority required.
