The Mission:

Your primary objective is to be the ultimate executive leader of the fulfillment branch. You are the Architect of Operational Excellence, owning the facility and culture. You are the definitive Profit Protector for the multi-million dollars of inventory flowing through your yard. As the face of the branch, you absorb all heavy personnel administration to keep yard leadership focused on operations. You represent the location’s operational accuracy, safety, and integrity for every team member and every piece of material that departs the facility.

Defining the Role:
  • Executive Branch Leadership: Serve as the overall facility owner, absorbing all heavy personnel administration to keep operational leadership focused on execution.
  • Profitability Management: transitions the branch to a rigorous costing model, monitoring labor, overhead, and all overarching financial metrics and KPIs to maximize profits.
  • Personnel Management: Manage all personnel functions, including performance evaluations, compensation determinations, hiring pipelines, and final disciplinary actions or terminations. Ensure proper follow-up communication to all parties.
  • On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) Oversight: Bridge the gap between Sales and Operations when delivery issues arise due to OTIF failures, incorrect products, or poor quality.
  • Process Compliance & ERP Accuracy: Hold all departments, including Sales and Operations, accountable for strict process compliance and ERP accuracy.
  • Direct Leadership: Act as the direct leader for the Yard Lead and Dispatcher, ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are followed or updated for continuous improvement.
  • Inventory Integrity: Conduct a daily yard walk with the Yard Lead to ensure proper inventory movement, and collaborate with Sales/Supply Chain on inventory adjustments.
  • Returns Management: Take ownership of returns, analyzing why material is returned and following up with all relevant teams on the cost of the issue. Process stock returns efficiently.
  • Daily & Bi-Weekly Administration: Work closely with the local Dispatcher on weekly efficiency issues. Conduct bi-weekly time card approvals, managing overtime needs with the Yard Lead.
  • Coordination & Communication: Work with other General Managers on cross-location issues. Maintain high communication with Market Leaders regarding team performance. Connect with the MRNC Team on location updates/remodels.
What Success Looks Like:

Performance is measured by your direct impact on branch efficiency, financial health, and continuous improvement:

  • On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) Delivery Percentage: Tracking the punctuation and accuracy of builder fulfillment.
  • Branch Profitability Metrics: Measuring success against the rigor of the costing model and overall labor/overhead management.
  • Inventory Turnover & Accuracy: Ensuring the integrity and flow of multi-million dollar assets.
  • Root-Cause Resolution (Repeat Issue Reduction): Tracking successful continuous improvement plans that prevent mistake repetition.
