Responsibilities

• Assists with surgical procedures from general surgery to orthopedics.
• Acts as primary scrub handling instruments, supplies and equipment during procedures.
• Vigilantly maintains the sterile field at all times.
• Helps maintain equipment, instruments and inventory.
• Note: This is not a Registered Nurse Circulator position.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Graduation from accredited School of Nursing
• Current Utah R.N. license, current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification
• Minimum of one year of work experience as Surgical Scrub Nurse
• (Preferred) Successful completion of an accredited O.R. Technician program or equivalency
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a demanding environment
• Ability to prioritize, use good judgment and remain calm during moments of crisis.
• Exhibit clear attention to detail and anticipate the needs of surgeons and OR staff.
