Location: Charlotte, NC 28215
Salary: Starting at $58,000/year + DOE
Schedule: Full-Time

Friday Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support our clients senior living community in Charlotte. This is a great opportunity for a culinary professional who enjoys creating high-quality meals while providing a welcoming, restaurant-style dining experience.

The Sous Chef will work closely with the culinary team to develop menus, maintain food quality and presentation, support kitchen operations, and accommodate residents individual dietary and nutritional needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with developing and executing seasonal, health-conscious menus

  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, presentation, and portioning

  • Help create a warm and welcoming dining experience for residents

  • Engage with residents to understand their preferences and dining needs

  • Oversee daily food preparation and kitchen operations

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

  • Maintain inventory and work with vendors to source quality ingredients

  • Ensure meals meet senior living dietary requirements and accommodate special diets

  • Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare professionals to support residents nutritional needs

  • Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff

  • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and positive kitchen environment

  • Perform other culinary and operational duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Culinary degree or extensive professional kitchen experience

  • 35 years of experience in a culinary leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of wellness-focused and health-conscious cuisine

  • Experience working with specialized diets and dietary accommodations

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Commitment to food quality, presentation, sanitation, and resident satisfaction
