Sales Development Representative - Renewables

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Development Representative - Renewables based in the United States.

This is a high-energy, prospecting-focused sales role centered on generating qualified new business opportunities.
You’ll own top-of-funnel activity across assigned territories, identifying prospects and engaging key decision-makers.
The role combines high-volume outreach with thoughtful research and personalized messaging across multiple channels.
You’ll qualify opportunities, uncover business needs, and schedule productive meetings for Account Executives.
Success will be measured through activity, appointment-setting, pipeline generation, and consistent execution.
You’ll work closely with sales leadership and Account Executives to refine messaging and improve conversion strategies.
For strong performers, the role offers a potential pathway into an Account Executive position within approximately 8–12 months, subject to performance, readiness, and business needs.

Accountabilities
  • Execute high-volume outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.

  • Research target accounts, property owners, asset owners, and decision-makers to identify qualified opportunities.

  • Build and maintain organized prospect lists across assigned territories and market segments.

  • Qualify prospects based on business fit, interest, needs, timing, and potential opportunity value.

  • Conduct persistent and structured outreach while tailoring messaging to individual prospects.

  • Schedule qualified meetings and discovery calls for Account Executives.

  • Maintain accurate, timely records of activities, leads, prospects, and opportunities within the CRM.

  • Follow established outreach cadences and continuously refine prospecting approaches based on results.

  • Partner with Account Executives to prioritize accounts, improve conversion rates, and strengthen pipeline generation.

  • Develop knowledge of relevant products, markets, customer profiles, and the overall sales process.

  • Consistently work toward or exceed activity, appointment-setting, and pipeline-generation targets.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with prospective customers.

  • Comfort with outbound calling, email outreach, cold prospecting, and initiating conversations with new contacts.

  • Competitive, goal-oriented mindset and a clear interest in building a long-term career in sales.

  • Strong organizational skills, follow-through, attention to detail, and ability to maintain CRM discipline.

  • Ability to manage a high volume of daily activities while maintaining quality and accuracy.

  • Coachability, resilience, adaptability, and willingness to incorporate feedback into daily performance.

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn complex markets and customer needs.

  • Previous experience in SDR/BDR, sales, recruiting, real estate, customer-facing, or business development roles is preferred, particularly with 0–2+ years of experience.

  • Prior outbound prospecting or cold-calling experience is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or comparable sales tools is advantageous.

  • Interest in infrastructure, real estate, telecommunications, renewable energy, finance, or asset acquisition is a plus.

  • Ability to work in Denver, Colorado; relocation assistance is available according to the source posting.
