Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Brazil.
This role sits at the heart of cloud delivery and platform reliability, supporting the build and operation of scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that power mission-critical applications. You will play a key role in shaping cloud-native architectures, improving deployment velocity, and ensuring operational excellence across complex environments. Working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders, you will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, strengthen observability practices, and reduce friction in software delivery. The environment is highly collaborative and outcome-driven, with a strong focus on automation, continuous improvement, and mentoring other engineers. You will also act as a technical leader during sprint execution, helping teams navigate infrastructure decisions and delivery risks. This is a hands-on role where your work directly impacts system reliability, scalability, and release efficiency.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring reliable and efficient deployment processes across environments.
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, including WebApps, Functions, VMs, and Scale Sets using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep or ARM templates.
- Monitor system health and performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics, proactively addressing reliability issues.
- Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, supporting scalable and secure application deployments.
- Develop automation and operational tooling using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define deployment strategies, environment standards, and release readiness criteria.
- Lead technical discussions around cloud architecture, DevOps best practices, and system scalability.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and hands-on guidance in DevOps practices.
- Support Agile/Scrum delivery processes and contribute to sprint planning, execution, and demos.
- Act as a technical liaison, ensuring smooth communication between delivery teams and stakeholders on infrastructure matters.
- 5–8 years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline design and release management.
- Solid experience with Azure cloud services such as App Services, Functions, VMs, Scale Sets, and related infrastructure components.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM templates, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and strong Git version control practices.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and system reliability principles.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with continuous delivery practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both engineers and stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering best practices and code quality standards.
- Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market standards.
- Fully remote work with flexible arrangements and location autonomy.
- Stable full-time employment with strong work-life balance expectations (around 40-hour work week).
- Paid time off and local holidays according to country standards.
- Learning and development support, including courses, certifications, and technical training.
- Opportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact projects in the financial services and education sectors.
- Collaborative, autonomy-driven culture focused on outcomes rather than micromanagement.
- Exposure to modern cloud-native architectures and advanced DevOps practices.
