Cloud Specialist (AWS Migration)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Specialist (AWS Migration) based in Brazil.

This is a senior cloud engineering role focused on large-scale AWS migration and modernization initiatives within complex enterprise environments. You will play a key role in designing, planning, and executing end-to-end cloud migration strategies, supporting the transition of critical workloads from on-premises or legacy cloud platforms into AWS. The role combines deep hands-on technical execution with architectural design across networking, security, and multi-account governance. You will work in highly collaborative environments alongside infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure safe, resilient, and efficient migration waves. A strong focus is placed on automation, reliability, and operational best practices throughout the migration lifecycle. This position is ideal for a cloud specialist who thrives in complex transformation programs and enjoys solving large-scale infrastructure challenges.

Accountabilities
  • Plan and execute end-to-end migrations of servers and workloads from on-premises or other cloud environments to AWS using AWS Application Migration Service (MGN).
  • Lead database migration activities using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), including full load, CDC replication, validation, and structured cutover execution.
  • Design and maintain AWS Landing Zone environments, ensuring multi-account governance, security controls, and scalable cloud architecture.
  • Architect high-availability and resilient network security solutions using AWS Gateway Load Balancer for third-party firewall integration, failover, and traffic distribution.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to assess dependencies and reduce migration risks across complex environments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, cutover plans, rollback strategies, and migration blueprints.
  • Support post-migration stabilization, troubleshooting replication issues, connectivity challenges, and performance tuning in AWS environments.
  • Ensure adherence to AWS best practices for networking, security, identity management, and operational excellence.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in AWS migration projects, including large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) for lift-and-shift and rehost scenarios.
  • Solid experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), including heterogeneous and homogeneous database migrations.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS Landing Zone architecture and multi-account cloud governance models.
  • Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience implementing high-availability security architectures using AWS Gateway Load Balancer and virtual firewall solutions.
  • Strong ability to design cloud architectures with a focus on security, segregation, and operational best practices.
  • Experience working with technical documentation, migration planning, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
  • English technical proficiency is considered a plus.
  • AWS certifications in architecture, networking, or migration domains are a strong advantage.

  • Remote work opportunity based in Brazil
  • CLT employment contract
  • Full equipment provided for work setup
