About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Painter to join our team supporting a premier Class A office building. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the appearance and overall aesthetic quality of the property through professional painting, surface restoration, and finishing work.
The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, has strong attention to detail, and understands the importance of creating an exceptional environment for tenants and visitors. During periods when painting projects are limited, this role will assist with light building maintenance tasks and general property upkeep to support the operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Painting & Surface Restoration
- Perform professional interior and exterior painting of walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other building surfaces to maintain a Class A appearance.
- Prepare surfaces through patching, sanding, drywall repair, caulking, and priming to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Select and apply appropriate paints, coatings, and finishes based on project requirements and surface conditions.
- Monitor and proactively address cosmetic deficiencies throughout common areas, tenant suites, and exterior surfaces to uphold property standards.
- Maintain painting equipment, supplies, and inventory.
- Coordinate and complete painting projects efficiently while minimizing disruption to tenants and building operations.
- Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe throughout all phases of painting projects.
Light Maintenance & Building Support (as Needed)
When painting projects are limited, provide support to the building maintenance team by:
- Assisting with basic maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building repairs.
- Assisting with HVAC inspections, filter changes, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Responding to tenant service requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Conducting routine property inspections and identifying maintenance concerns.
- Helping maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of common areas, mechanical rooms, and building systems.
- Supporting emergency maintenance situations as needed.
- Following all company policies, building procedures, and safety standards to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred.
- Three or more years of commercial painting experience required.
- Experience in commercial real estate, office buildings, healthcare, hospitality, or similar professional environments preferred.
- Experience in commercial building maintenance is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, drywall repair, coatings, and finishing methods.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical work requiring standing, bending, reaching, and kneeling.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position supporting a Class A commercial office building. Typical business hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends required for special projects or emergency maintenance situations.
