Director Analyst Infrastructure Cybersecurity

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director Analyst – Infrastructure Cybersecurity based in Ireland.

This senior-level role sits at the intersection of strategic research, cybersecurity expertise, and executive advisory, focusing on how organizations design and evolve secure infrastructure in an increasingly complex threat landscape. You will act as a trusted authority for global IT leaders, delivering forward-looking insights that shape infrastructure security strategies and investment decisions. The role combines deep technical understanding with high-impact thought leadership, requiring the ability to translate emerging technologies and threats into actionable guidance. You will analyze market shifts, vendor ecosystems, and security architectures that underpin modern enterprise environments. Operating at a global scale, you will influence decision-makers across industries while contributing to high-visibility research and speaking engagements. This is a highly visible role for an expert who thrives at the frontier of cybersecurity innovation and enterprise transformation.

Accountabilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of infrastructure cybersecurity markets, identifying trends, risks, and emerging opportunities across enterprise environments
  • Develop forward-looking insights on secure networking and infrastructure protection, including SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, endpoint security, and cloud security models
  • Produce high-quality research, reports, and thought leadership content that supports CIOs, CISOs, and IT leaders in strategic decision-making
  • Deliver clear and authoritative presentations to senior executives and industry audiences, both virtually and at global conferences
  • Evaluate cybersecurity vendors, technologies, and architectures to assess market positioning, adoption patterns, and competitive differentiation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client engagement, account growth, and advisory service delivery
  • Continuously monitor geopolitical, regulatory, and technological shifts impacting infrastructure security strategies
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in infrastructure cybersecurity, secure networking architecture, or related enterprise IT security domains
  • Strong expertise in modern security frameworks and architectures, including SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, and identity-centric security models
  • Deep understanding of cloud security, endpoint protection, patch management, backup and disaster recovery practices
  • Proven knowledge of leading cybersecurity vendors and platforms (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Zscaler, Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Microsoft, SentinelOne, Netskope, Cato Networks)
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and business environments and translate them into clear, actionable insights for senior decision-makers
  • Strong familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF 2.0, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 42001, and NIST AI RMF
  • Intellectual curiosity around emerging threats, including AI-driven attacks, post-quantum cryptography risks, and advanced ransomware models
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills for executive-level audiences
  • Advanced degree preferred; bachelor’s degree required
