Floor Maintenance Technician in York, Pennsylvania at York County Cerebral Palsy Home, Inc

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all flooring surfaces throughout the facility. Duties include floor care, deep cleaning, and the operation of specialized cleaning equipment to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine and restorative floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and polishing.

Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, and carpet extractors.

Clean and maintain carpets, hard surface floors, and other assigned areas.

Follow established safety procedures when handling chemicals, equipment, and cleaning products.

Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.

Maintain equipment in good working order and notify supervisors of needed repairs.

Assist with general environmental services tasks as needed to support facility operations.

Ensure assigned areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.
