We are seeking a detail-oriented Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to support maintenance operations for a fleet of semi-trucks. This role is responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance and inspections, managing vendor relationships, comparing maintenance programs, tracking costs and performance, and providing regular reporting to management.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate preventative maintenance and inspection schedules for semi-trucks.
Manage relationships with maintenance vendors, dealerships, and repair facilities.
Compare maintenance programs, warranties, and service agreements to identify cost-effective solutions.
Track maintenance records, costs, downtime, and compliance documentation.
Prepare reports and recommendations to improve fleet reliability and reduce expenses.
Qualifications
Experience with fleet, trucking, heavy equipment, or transportation maintenance coordination.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, and reporting tools.
Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA maintenance requirements is preferred.
Compensation
Independent contractor position.
Flexible schedule, approximately 5–10 hours per week.
Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
