This is a senior, hands-on infrastructure role focused on designing, securing, and optimizing enterprise-grade network environments that power modern business operations.
You will work across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud networking ecosystems to ensure high availability, performance, and security at scale.
The role involves architecting resilient network solutions using leading technologies such as Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki, and Microsoft Azure networking services.
You will act as a technical authority, guiding clients through complex networking challenges and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
A key part of your work includes troubleshooting critical issues, leading deployments, and supporting network modernization programs.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including involvement in pre-sales and solution design activities.
This is a remote-first role offering occasional travel, ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in high-impact client environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, implement, and support secure, scalable enterprise network infrastructures across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
  • Act as a technical lead for Fortinet, Cisco, and Meraki networking solutions, ensuring optimal configuration, performance, and security.
  • Design and support Azure networking components including VNets, VPN gateways, NSGs, and hybrid connectivity architectures.
  • Lead network deployments, upgrades, migrations, and optimization initiatives for enterprise clients.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide expert-level operational support to ensure system stability and uptime.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define technical requirements and deliver tailored infrastructure solutions.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, solution design, technical scoping, and client advisory engagements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational best practices.
  • Support post-deployment activities, ensuring long-term reliability and performance of network environments.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, mentoring, and onboarding within the engineering team.
  • Participate in planned maintenance windows and infrastructure upgrade cycles as required.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure engineering roles within enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Fortinet, Cisco networking solutions, and Cisco Meraki environments.
  • Proven experience working in client-facing or consulting-based infrastructure roles.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure networking, including VNets, VPN Gateway, NSGs, and hybrid connectivity models.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills in complex network environments.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation procedures.
  • Self-driven mindset with the ability to operate independently in remote and distributed teams.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Fortinet or Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP), Azure networking certifications, or experience in regulated or government environments.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range of CAD 100,000–125,000.
  • Remote-first work model with occasional travel (1–2 times per year).
  • Generous vacation allowance to support work-life balance.
  • Career development and long-term growth opportunities in a highly technical environment.
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale networking, cloud transformation, and advanced infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborative, expert-led team culture with strong technical mentorship.
  • Opportunity to work directly with clients on impactful infrastructure modernization initiatives.
