About Woodhaven:

Woodhaven Residential Treatment Center provides compassionate care for individuals on their recovery journey. We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our billing team and ensure accurate, timely claims processing for our behavioral health services.

Job Overview:

The Billing Specialist processes and submits insurance claims for substance use disorder treatment services, follows up on denials, and ensures accurate reimbursement. This position works primarily with Medicaid and commercial insurance for behavioral health billing.

Key Responsibilities:

Submit behavioral health claims through EHR and billing systems
Follow up on claim denials and submit appeals
Verify client insurance coverage and eligibility
Post payments and process remittance advice
Work aging accounts receivable and collections
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues
Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
Meet productivity and accuracy standards

Qualifications:

1+ years of medical or behavioral health billing experience preferred
Experience with Medicaid billing strongly preferred
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding helpful
Familiarity with EHR systems and electronic claims submission
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills for insurance follow-up
CPR certification required (company-sponsored)
