We are currently looking for a temporary Recruiter to join our team for six (6) weeks. This position may be based at any of our plant locations and will support recruitment activities across the organization for the duration of the six-week assignment.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Reporting to the SVP, Human Resources, the Recruiter is responsible to collaborate with department managers to define role requirements, post jobs, evaluate applicants, and guide talent through the interview process.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep up to date with industry trends and innovative solutions to source the most qualified candidates.
  • Seeks creative and innovative sourcing methods to attract qualified candidates.
  • Utilizes effective candidate communication strategies to attract and engage candidates throughout the recruiting cycle.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates for the interview process.
  • Coordinates the interview process with hiring managers.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Ensure Affirmative Action Plan requirements are adhered to in the hiring and section process.
  • Coordinates pre-employment testing and background check process.
  • Manage the sourcing and screening process to reduce the time to hire for all positions.
  • Possess excellent follow-up skills after the interview.
  • Utilize the recruiting guide and catalogue of questions to develop interview questions.
  • Perform applicable background checks.
  • Adhere to all voestalpine Nortrak safety policies and procedures.

  • QUALITIFCATIONS:

    EDUCATION:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR Certification preferred.
  • FIELD OF EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-5 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience recruiting for manufacturing, operations, skilled trades, or corporate roles is an asset.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills to partner with plant leadership team.
  • Above average Interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written, ability to work effectively with employees and manager, and ability to convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft programs such as Word.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge using ATS systems.
  • PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; occasional standing and walking for your scheduled shift.
  • Must remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for dialing phones and using a computer mouse.
