This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PeopleTools professional to support and optimize enterprise PeopleSoft environments in a fully remote setting. The role focuses on the architecture, administration, and continuous improvement of mission-critical systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. As a PeopleTools Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting enterprise PeopleSoft environments while ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability. You will also contribute to automation initiatives, mentor team members, and help drive operational excellence.
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise PeopleSoft environments.
- Perform PeopleTools upgrades, PUM image deployments, patching, and ongoing platform maintenance.
- Administer core infrastructure components, including WebLogic, Tuxedo, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker, and application servers.
- Manage and support Elasticsearch or OpenSearch environments integrated with PeopleSoft.
- Execute environment refreshes, system cloning, migrations, and high availability/disaster recovery activities.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and deployment processes using Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure platform stability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system configurations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while supporting production environments and continuous improvements.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience administering PeopleSoft environments and possesses strong technical expertise across enterprise infrastructure, automation, and cloud technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft PeopleTools administration.
- Strong experience performing PeopleTools upgrades, PUM image implementations, and system patching.
- Deep knowledge of WebLogic, Tuxedo, Oracle Database, and Linux/Unix administration.
- Experience supporting Elasticsearch or OpenSearch within PeopleSoft environments.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager and enterprise platform administration.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical teams.
Preferred qualifications:
- PeopleSoft certifications.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices, including Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and PeopleSoft Selective Adoption.
- Full-time, direct W-2 employment.
