We are seeking a hands-on marketing leader to drive growth, revenue, and category leadership for a fast-growing B2B SaaS business specializing in AI-powered marketing automation. This role combines strategic leadership with practical execution, offering the opportunity to shape the future of agentic marketing. You will own the marketing strategy, performance metrics, and revenue outcomes while building AI agents and automations that streamline campaigns, content production, reporting, and customer engagement. Working directly with the CEO, you will lead a multidisciplinary team, optimize the customer journey, and scale acquisition and retention initiatives. This is a player-coach position for an innovative leader who enjoys building systems, testing new ideas, and delivering measurable business impact. The role is fully remote within Canada, with significant ownership and the opportunity to help define an emerging market category.
- Build an AI-powered marketing engine: Develop, implement, and scale AI agents and automations that perform practical marketing tasks across advertising, reporting, content creation, and lifecycle marketing. Establish clear ownership and measure the impact of each automation on efficiency and revenue.
- Own marketing strategy and performance: Define priorities across growth, paid acquisition, affiliate marketing, lifecycle marketing, website optimization, content, and product marketing. Establish marketing OKRs, report performance to the CEO, and take accountability for customer acquisition cost (CAC), payback periods, trial volume, and overall marketing efficiency.
- Drive hands-on campaign execution: Develop and optimize campaigns, messaging, and creative assets as needed. Translate executive vision and market insights into actionable marketing plans that deliver measurable results.
- Optimize conversion and customer journeys: Lead the conversion rate optimization (CRO) program, manage testing roadmaps, and prioritize experiments based on business impact. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve registration, onboarding, and checkout experiences.
- Lead lifecycle marketing and analytics: Own trial conversion, win-back, and upsell initiatives while ensuring data accuracy and alignment between the application, HubSpot, and other marketing systems. Maintain reliable measurement across GA4, HubSpot, Stripe, and advertising platforms.
- Develop category positioning and thought leadership: Build a compelling market narrative around agentic marketing through original research, reports, thought leadership, and consistent messaging across the website, social media, public relations, and other channels.
- Lead and develop the marketing team: Set clear objectives, establish accountability, provide regular feedback, recruit talent, and make decisions that strengthen team performance. Build a lean, AI-augmented organization capable of delivering results at scale.
- Marketing leadership experience: At least 7 years of professional marketing experience, including 3 or more years leading a marketing team.
- AI automation expertise: Demonstrated experience building AI agents or automations that perform real marketing tasks. Candidates should be prepared to present examples of solutions they have built and the measurable results achieved.
- Revenue and growth ownership: Proven accountability for pipeline and revenue targets, including direct ownership of customer acquisition cost (CAC) and payback metrics.
- Conversion optimization: Experience leading a CRO program, developing experimentation roadmaps, analyzing results, and improving conversion performance across digital customer journeys.
- Lifecycle marketing expertise: Demonstrated experience managing lifecycle campaigns, including trial conversion, customer win-back, upselling, and retention initiatives.
- Marketing analytics and technology: Hands-on proficiency with GA4, HubSpot, and Stripe, along with the ability to maintain reliable attribution, reporting, and marketing performance measurement.
- Multidisciplinary team management: Experience leading marketers across multiple functions, setting priorities, managing performance, and aligning execution with business objectives.
- B2B SaaS experience: A strong understanding of SaaS growth models, demand generation, customer acquisition, and revenue optimization.
- Player-coach mindset: Ability to combine strategic planning with hands-on execution, from building marketing systems and automations to launching campaigns and analyzing performance.
- Communication and strategic thinking: Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to translate business goals into clear marketing strategies and actionable plans.
- Preferred qualifications: Experience launching or defining a new market category, working in marketing technology or agentic AI platforms, developing paid social creative, or building influencer and affiliate programs.
- Location requirement: Candidates must be based in Canada and able to work remotely.
- Compensation: $48–$57 USD per hour.
- Remote flexibility: Fully remote position for candidates based in Canada.
- Paid time off: 15 days of paid time off.
- Paid holidays: Christmas Day and New Year's Day off with pay.
- Leadership and ownership: Direct collaboration with the CEO and the opportunity to shape company-wide marketing strategy and business performance.
- Innovation and professional growth: Opportunities to build practical AI marketing systems, experiment with emerging technologies, and help establish a new market category.
- Team development: The opportunity to lead and grow a multidisciplinary marketing team in a fast-moving B2B SaaS environment.
