Position location is flexible and may office from a branch in MN, SD, ND, WI or TBD
Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm

OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Lean Solutions Consultant, you will support existing and potential key account customers by working with the respective sales teams to develop profitable revenue growth opportunities, including customer-facing sales support of the Onsite, Vending Solutions, Fastenal Managed inventory and other company growth drivers.

The Lean Solutions team is a dedicated group of professionally trained lean practitioners and project managers who are adept at translating the value proposition that is the basis of Fastenal's go-to-market strategy to our customers in a mutually beneficial manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Performing total cost of ownership analysis (TCOA) activities, site assessments, LS Business Reviews/Assessments and onsite reviews/assessments
o Providing direct customer sales support to key accounts in the Region(s) to National Accounts prospects and existing NA customers in the Region
o Achieving Blue Belt status through TCOA
o Engaging with stakeholders requesting TCOA support
o Performing all functions of TCOA including preparing, communicating, quantifying savings opportunities and proposing solution(s) to stakeholders
o Performing lean solutions business and onsite reviews/assessments by examining all aspects of the business plan, operations and productivity of existing business and finding additional opportunities for profitable revenue growth
o Supporting the area's regional sales teams and lean solutions teams to help meet sales initiatives and support customer growth and productivity projects

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
o Possess 2 years of Fastenal or related work experience OR a degree/certification in Supply Chain, Lean Solutions or Lean Six Sigma
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong knowledge of Lean business practices/operations and strong knowledge of Fastenal Solutions
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Willingness to travel extensively
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess a degree, training, or certification in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, or a related certification
o Possess Blue Belt certification
o Proficient using Smartsheet

COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $54,000 - 72,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
