This is a remote freelance opportunity within the localization space, focused on delivering high-quality subtitles and accessibility content for movies and OTT platforms. You will work on translating, adapting, and refining Tamil audio content into accurate and natural English subtitles that meet professional media standards. The role requires strong linguistic precision, cultural understanding, and attention to detail to ensure dialogue is both faithful and easy to follow for global audiences. You will contribute to enhancing viewer accessibility and experience across entertainment content consumed worldwide. Working independently in a flexible environment, you will collaborate on diverse media projects with varying timelines. • Review, write, and edit subtitles for Tamil-to-English content ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Translate spoken Tamil dialogue into natural, well-structured English subtitles aligned with context and tone.
• Ensure strict adherence to grammar, spelling, punctuation, and established English style guidelines.
• Maintain consistency in terminology, formatting, and subtitle timing across all content.
• Collaborate with localization workflows to deliver high-quality subtitles for movies and OTT platforms.
• Proofread and quality-check subtitle files before final delivery.
• Adapt content while preserving cultural nuance and intended meaning for global audiences.

• Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding Tamil (mandatory).
• Good command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and subtitle formatting standards.
• Ability to translate and adapt content accurately while maintaining tone and context.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on linguistic accuracy and consistency.
• Familiarity with English style guides and subtitle conventions is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in translation, subtitling, or localization is a plus but not mandatory (freshers welcome).
