Talent Acquisition Specialist
Location-Hilo/Kona
Pay Rate- $58,344.00-$78,936.00 (Compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience)
About the Role:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist leads full-cycle recruiting for clinical and administrative roles across HICHC, ensuring hires support quality, culturally responsive patient care. They also provide HR support, including onboarding, compliance, benefits, and general employee services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Required-Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. In lieu of degree; High School graduate or GED certificate and five (5) years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting will be accepted
- Required-Two (2) years of professional Human Resources or recruiting experience.
- Required-Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional, service-oriented demeanor.
- Preferred-Experience in full-cycle recruitment and HR Compliance within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or similar clinical setting.
- Preferred-Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
- Preffered-Intermediate level of knowledge in human resources policies, procedures and regulatory requirements is highly preferred
- Preffered-Human Resources Certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and compliance while supporting HR operations, marketing outreach, and continuous improvement to attract and retain qualified, mission-aligned employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment from screening to offer extension
- Partner with hiring managers on candidate selection and hiring strategy
- Coordinate interviews, reference checks, and offer preparation
- Ensure compliance with hiring laws, policies, and compensation guidelines
- Manage pre-employment processes (background checks, health clearances, onboarding)
- Support new hire experience and early retention check-ins
- Drive recruitment marketing, social media presence, and community outreach
- Maintain ATS data, reporting, and improve hiring processes
- Provide broader HR support, including records management, projects, and employee engagement
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with a high level of discretion.
